Meet the Nazareans ... a modern-day resurrection of the ancient Nazarean Christians;
the community and culture into which Yeshua Ha Massiach (Jesus the Christ) was born
"and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth.
So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene." (Matthew 2:23, NIV)
Acts 3:1-10 Acts 10:34-38 John 1:45-46
Yeshua; a Nazarene ... and a troublemaker?
“We’ve found this man time and again disturbing the peace, stirring up riots against Jews all over the world, the ringleader of a seditious sect called Nazarenes. He’s a real bad apple, I must say. We caught him trying to defile our holy Temple and arrested him. You’ll be able to verify all these accusations when you examine him yourself.” (Acts 24:5-8, The Message)
Like our parent church affiliation, we are a modern day resurrection of the ancient Nazarean Christians. We follow most closely the teachings and values of the northern Nazarean branch of Essenes - known as the B'nai-Amen ("Children of God"). It was the ancient and mystical B'nai-Amen Temple of the Nazarean into which Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ) was born.
Other than affiliation with our parent church - The Essene Nazarean Church of Mount Carmel - and as with the parent church, Nazarean Missions stand alone, separate and autonomous (autocephalous) from any other order or organization claiming the Essene and/or Nazarean name in the US, Canada, or Europe.
Brother Bill, Shepherd's Assistant for Nazarean Missions, is an Ordained Priest of the Essene Nazarean Church of Mount Carmel.
Respect for and in fellowship with everyone ... however led by the Holy Spirit in matters of faith and worship
We believe that there is only one Christian Church, and that Yeshua is the Head of the Christian Church Universal. We further believe that God is too great and encompassing to have a one size fits all path to authentic spirituality. Similarly, there are countless paths that lead to a meaningful life during our earthly existence and our eternal salvation. God has allowed, encouraged, or even has a direct hand in the evolution of so many denominations and expressions of faith so as to cast the nets as far and wide as possible (Matthew 4:18-20). Come one ... Come All! (Revelation 3:19-21).
In our personal worship and our walk with Yeshua (a.k.a. Jesus), we endeavor to follow the earliest forms of Christian faith and practice -- that is, from the time that Yeshua actually walked on earth. Wherever hearts, minds, and ears are open we teach, witness, and minister through expressions of The Essene Nazarean Church of Mount Carmel. However, we never impose our beliefs; nor do we insist that everyone walk on the same path. We serve and reach out to all regardless of religious orientation ... or lack thereof.
